2010 Ms. Wheelchair Texas Kemi Yemi-Ese

Kemi Yemi-Ese is a native Houstonian and a graduate of Baylor University.  In 2006, her graduating year, she was in an automobile accident that caused her quadriplegia. After close to a year of physical and occupational therapy, Kemi was determined to return to school and finish her last semester. In August 2007, she returned to Baylor and graduated one year later.

2009 Ms. Wheelchair Texas Ana Calvo

Ana attended the University of Houston-Downtown where she became president of the disabled student organization.  As president of the organization Ana discovered her love for advocating the rights of the disabled.

2008 Ms. Wheelchair Texas Staci Moss

Staci L. Moss was born in Amarillo, TX and was diagnosed with chondrodysplasia punctata soon after. A 1994 graduate of Andrews High School in Andrews, Texas, she went to Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas to complete her pre-pharmacy requirements.

Michelle Colvard is proud to be a native Houstonian. Born with spina bifida, she has used a wheelchair for mobility full-time since the 6th grade.

2007 Ms. Wheelchair Texas Jackie Bartels

Jackie Bartels was born and raised in rural Nebraska. At age 13 she was helping her grandparents fix a broken windmill when she fell about 20 feet sustaining a spinal cord injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down.

Kristie Thomas a native of Lewisville, is Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

Sarah Whitlock a native of Alvin, is Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2005. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.

Angela Wrigglesworth a native Houstonian and 1999 graduate of Texas A&M University, is Ms. Wheelchair Texas 2004. When competing for the title of Ms. Wheelchair America in July of 2004, Ms. Wrigglesworth finished in the top five and placed third runner up.
